Porsha Williams, a prominent cast member of 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta,' has officially filed for divorce from Simon Guobadia after a 15-month marriage. The legal petition, submitted in Fulton County Superior Court in Georgia, cites irretrievable brokenness as the grounds for the divorce.
Williams, currently living separately from Guobadia, is seeking the enforcement of their prenuptial agreement dated November 17, 2022, just days before their November 22, 2022, wedding. Alongside this, she is requesting the court to order Guobadia to cover her reasonable attorney's fees and related divorce expenses.
The couple, whose relationship became public in May 2021, faced public scrutiny due to the connection between Guobadia and Williams' fellow 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' co-star, Falynn Pina, who is Guobadia's ex-wife. Williams clarified in her filing that she played no role in Guobadia's prior divorce from Pina, as it had been finalized before her relationship with Guobadia began.
Simon Guobadia, reciprocating Williams' announcement, went Instagram official with their engagement, expressing their shared happiness and compatibility. Despite the rapid pace of their relationship, both emphasized their commitment to living life fully and focusing on positive energy.
Porsha Williams, who initially joined 'The Real Housewives' during its fifth season as the wife of former NFL player Kordell Stewart, is making a comeback to 'RHOA' after a two-year hiatus. Bravo recently announced her return, coinciding with Kandi Burruss' decision to exit the reality show after Season 15.
Additionally, Williams participated in Season 3 of 'The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip,' filmed in Thailand and aired last year.
