Renowned adult film star Jesse Jane, aged 43, has passed away, with reports from The New York Times attributing her death to a suspected drug overdose. Initially a beauty pageant contestant, she transitioned into the adult film industry, earning recognition for her role in the highest-budget pornographic film ever made. Tragically, Ms. Jane was discovered lifeless at a residence in Oklahoma alongside her boyfriend, Brett Hasenmueller.


According to Lieutenant Francisco Franco of the Moore Police Department, authorities responded to a welfare check at the residence, where both Jane and Hasenmueller were found deceased. The circumstances surrounding their deaths are currently under investigation.

Originating from Texas, Ms. Jane began her career as a model for notable retailers before securing contracts with Hooters and Digital Playground studio. She ventured into the adult film industry in 2003, making an uncredited appearance in 'Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding.'

Born Cynthia Ann Howell on July 16, 1980, in Fort Worth, Texas, Ms. Jane shared in a 2006 interview with Oklahoma Gazette that her family had settled in the Oklahoma City area, with her parents working at Tinker Air Force Base. She graduated with honors from Moore High School in 1998.

Ms. Jane's diverse career included hosting shows for the Playboy Channel, such as 'Naughty Amateurs Home Videos' and 'Night Calls,' earning accolades from industry publications. Notably, her 'Pirates' film series set records as the most expensive, with the first film costing $1 million in 2005 and its sequel reaching $8 million in 2007.


Beyond the adult film industry, Ms. Jane made forays into mainstream Hollywood, appearing in the 2004 reboot of 'Starsky and Hutch' and the HBO series 'Entourage.' She officially retired from the adult film industry in 2007.
