Over the last couple of months, Isabella Strahan, Michael Strahan's 19-year-old daughter, has been quietly confronting medulloblastoma, an aggressive brain tumor.
Initially discovered during an MRI at the University of Southern California in October, this cancerous growth affects the cerebellum, responsible for coordinating movement. Seeking treatment at Duke University's Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center, Isabella, along with her father, shared her health battle on "Good Morning America," aiming to inspire and assist others facing similar challenges.
In the interview with Robin Roberts, Michael Strahan explained their decision to make Isabella's journey public, emphasizing her desire to contribute to others' well-being. Despite the personal nature of the situation, Isabella expressed her intention not to conceal her cancer journey.
After brain surgery, rehabilitation, and radiation treatment, she is poised to embark on a chemotherapy regimen under the care of Duke University's medical experts.
Beyond being a model and collaborator with Sephora, Isabella is now launching a YouTube series to document her experiences in partnership with Duke Children's Hospital & Health Center. Her goal is to be a relatable voice for those undergoing similar challenges, offering a source of inspiration and connection during chemotherapy or radiation treatments.

In shedding light on her battle, Isabella also hopes to spotlight the pressing need for increased funding for brain tumor research, especially for children.
Dr. David Ashley, overseeing her care as a neuro-oncologist and director of Duke University's brain tumor center, stressed the significance of this moment in history, highlighting the potential impact of advanced therapies if adequately resourced.
