Mia Goth |
In a legal saga unfolding in the film industry, Mia Goth finds herself at the center of controversy as background actor James Hunter takes legal action, asserting that she purposefully kicked him in the head during the filming of the A24 sequel "MaXXXine" last April. Hunter, cast as the "Dead Parishioner," alleges suffering a concussion due to Goth's intentional actions.
The lawsuit provides a detailed account of Hunter's challenging working conditions, including lying on the ground covered in fake blood for hours while contending with ants and mosquitoes.
Hunter claims that, during the scene, where Goth was supposed to run past him, she not only nearly stepped on him but also deliberately kicked him in the head with her boot on the fourth take, despite his earlier complaint.
Following this disturbing incident, Hunter contends that he experienced additional distress when, in the bathroom, Goth allegedly "taunted, mocked, and belittled" him, challenging him to respond. The physical repercussions were not limited to the alleged head injury; the fake blood, dried onto his robe, reportedly caused additional pain during its removal.
On his drive home, Hunter experienced lightheadedness, prompting him to pull over twice. The next day brought an unexpected development when the casting agency informed him that the production did not require his services for the remaining two days, leading to a wrongful termination claim against A24, Goth, and the film's director, Ti West.
