Fans in the Gulf region eagerly awaiting the release of 'Fighter' starring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone received disappointing news as the film faces an official ban across Middle East countries, excluding the UAE, where it will have a PG15 classification. The exact reasons behind the ban have not been disclosed, leaving audiences curious and disappointed.

Despite this setback, the film is set to captivate Indian audiences with its theatrical release on January 25. Directed by Siddharth Anand, 'Fighter' boasts a stellar cast including Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, and Akshay Oberoi, promising a riveting aerial action thriller.

The movie's storyline revolves around the Balakot airstrike conducted by the Indian Armed Forces, responding to a terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir. The film sheds light on the retaliation against the alleged biggest camp of the terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), resulting in the loss of nearly 40 CRPF soldiers.

This collaboration marks Deepika Padukone's third film with Siddharth Anand after 'Bachna Ae Haseeno' (2008) and the blockbuster 'Pathaan' (2023). Additionally, it's Siddharth Anand's third project with Hrithik Roshan, following the success of 'Bang Bang!' and 'War,' both achieving significant box office success.

Hrithik Roshan takes on the role of Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania, aka Patty, while Deepika Padukone portrays Squadron Leader Minal Rathore, aka Minni. Anil Kapoor plays the character of Group Captain Rakesh Jai Singh, aka Rocky.

Siddharth Anand, expressing his dedication to the project, mentioned that 'Fighter' holds special significance as it marks the inception of his film company, MARFLIX, with his wife Mamta. Describing the film as ambitious in multiple aspects, he urged audiences to shower the same love on 'Fighter' as they did on 'Pathaan,' expressing hope for a successful 2024 at the movies.
