Danny Masterson, known for his role in "That '70s Show," has recently found himself entering the confines of North Kern State Prison in Delano. The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation confirmed his admission after his conviction for assaulting two women.
Sporting an orange jumpsuit and a full beard in the released booking photo, Masterson begins the rigorous classification and reception procedure within the prison walls. This process, stretching up to 90 days, determines his placement within the institution.
Sentenced to 30 years to life after a retrial involving three women, Masterson faced accusations of assaulting them between 2001 and 2003. While he will serve consecutive 15-year sentences for the rape charges, one for each count, he is also mandated to register as a sex offender.
However, one of the charges against him, pertaining to Jane Doe No. 3, ended in a mistrial and was subsequently dismissed by prosecutors, signaling the closure of that particular case.
Considering him a potential flight risk, authorities remanded Masterson into custody post-verdict, transitioning him from his previous detainment at the Los Angeles County jail.
Despite his attorney's belief in the potential overturning of the convictions, Masterson now begins his prison term, navigating the ramifications of his actions.
